Bad Product and Mini Shopping Spree

Hi all!

Today I went out shopping to spoil myself after working so hard all easter and because I'm finally not sick anymore :)

As you may know by now, I love Priceline, so of course I had to go there!

One product that caught my eye was the Innoxa skin care range. They had testers available so I used the Vitamin Enriched Lotion SPF15 (for dry to normal skin) just a smidge on the back of my hand. I just want to see the texture, smell, absorbancy and residue. Regardless of what I thought, I wasn't going to buy it just because I already had alot of items including a moisturiser that I wanted to purchase.

So happy I didn't get this product because it caused a massive irritation to the skin which I tested it on. It's still itchy and red several hours later and the product is definately washed off by now. I'm so thankful it was just a spot on my hand and not my whole face.... :/

Anyway, I won't bore you with details of what I bought but I just wanted to share my experience with the Innoxa moisturizer and let you all know that I do not recommend this product.

Take care
Annaliza :)

March/April Beauty Favourites

Hi all!
I haven't had alot of time to check out new products lately so I've mostly been sticking with old favourites and in some cases, I've also been re-discovering old favourites.

Here are some old favourites I've rediscovered:

Nivea fruity shine lip balm (strawberry)

As I've stated previously, I love lip balm. One thing I love even more is TINTED lip balm. Trust me, it makes a difference. Plus it smells like candy :P

Palmer's cocoa butter formula: moisturizing body oil
I have dry skin, so I moisurise daily. With the colder weather setting in, my regular moisturizer just wasn't making the grade. This has been my saviour. It doesn't leave any residue, just soaks right in, and leaves my skin with a nice silky sheen.

New products I've come to love:

Clinique even better foundation
This foundation not only matches my skin colour pefectly, but also my skin type. It makes my skin look so great on it's own. I don't even really need concealer or anything. Not to mention its staying power. I could wear this morning, noon and night without having to do any touch-ups.

B collection by Bloom nail polish
This is one of my favourite nail polish brands. The quality is up there with the likes of O.P.I. They come in a huge range of colours all named after cities of the world. My favourites at the moment are Luxembourg and Amsterdam.

That's all I can think of right now. If I think of any more, I'll post it at a later date.
Good night!!

Its been a while...

Hi there!

So it's definately been a while since my last post. Sorry!! Sometimes life just gets in the way lol. Just been busy. busy with work, study and I've been sick the past couple of days :(

This post is basically just goiong to be a catch-up session. We'll just be like 2 old friends talking about whats been going on in our lives recently over coffee :) This is whats up with me....

Today is ANZAC day, which for those who don't know, is a day when all Australian's remember those who served in wars past. There are parades and the whole country basically stops for the day to honour them. It's a beautiful tradition.

Anzac day is definately not something that you can explain accurately in a few sentences and I didn't really do it justice. Sorry guys :(

It was also Easter during this 5 day long weekend :) Hope y'all got spoiled with lots of delicious chocolates!

This month, I also went to Supafest. Supafest is the biggest urban music festival in Australia (and I heard somewhere it's the biggest in the world). There are so many amzing artists that perform there. I got to see Tiao Cruz, The Game, T-pain, Busta Rhymes, Nelly, and Snoop Dogg. I had the best time. I'll defs be back next year!!

That's whats been going on recently. I'll do a seperate post about my fave beauty buys in recent times as well as a fashion post.

Hope you've all been safe and well.
I'll be back soon. Promise xox

February Favourites

Hello again!

I know that February is done and dusted and we're March-ing on now but I wanted to post this anyway :P
This is just a list of some of the things I've bought/done/loved throughout the last month.

One thing about me is: I love going to priceline. I think I spend way too much time in there checking out all the different products. I always have to talk myself out of buying things and STILL manage to spend way too much money in there lol (thats another issue altogether).

The Goodies:
Maybelline Baby Lips: OMG I LOVE THIS. Lip balm is one of my must-haves. I'm a total lip balm junkie. I have tried sooo many different ones but this tops the lot :)

Charles Worthington Hair Healer: This smells great and makes my hair feel super soft and shiney.

Garnier Caffeine Eye Roll-On

Garnier Express Cleansing Wipes

Apivita Green Clay Mask

Dusk: They sell the most beautiful scented candles, candle holders, reed diffusers, etc.

Brisbane Breakfast tea (from T2): It's a beautiful black tea with a mango twang. Very Queensland :)

Those are my absolute faves for February.
I've been super busy lately with my studies and work so I got alot of these things bearing in mind that it's important to take care of myself, especially when I'm so busy. I get run-down pretty easy so I want to make sure that I can still look the best I can and feel good.
I've also been drinking tonnes of water and trying to get as much sleep in as I can (still only managing about 5hrs).

Things I intend to work on for this month are being early or on time (being late is probably my worst habit), getting more sleep and spending less money on things I don't NEED. lol

Sweet dreams xoxox

It's Officially Autumn!!

So-long sweet Summer. Now it's officially Autumn. The mercury is dropping and my days of wearing my short-shorts are becoming numbered :( I'm a summer girl through and through and there are definately alot of things I'll miss about summer such as:  longer days, balmy nights, eating ice-cream without freezing to death, wearing shorts/dresses/skirts/sandals and all those cute summer clothes and the beach of course.

I will not miss getting all sweaty and gross when it's super hot though, make-up running and hair sticking to my neck and cursing my hot coffee lol.

But, let's not waste too much time grieving summers past. Time to celebrate what gets us all excited about the cooler months like; hot showers, cuddles, sitting by a fire, drinking a nice hot chocolate/ tea or coffee, sleeping in on a chilly morning and being all rugged-up :)

I'm not looking forward to flu season though so I'm definatley gonna get a flu vaccination soon. Nobody likes being sick :-|

Anyway, be safe everyone. I hope you had a great summer!! :)

Lookbook

I just posted my first look on lookbook.nu

Check it out:

Here were some other photo options that didn't make the cut:

I cut my head off in most of them lol!
I like this outfit mostly because of the shirt. It makes me feel like I could be a bat or something :P

A walk in the park...

Today is yet another beautiful (and hot) Queensland summer day and I decided to make the most of it by taking a walk in the park. It's actually kinda a crazy thing to do at midday but at least I took some photos for you to look at :)

p.s- please excuse the poor photo quality. It was a windy day and the camera is kinda old.

Czar: He didn't want me to leave. Cutie!

What a nice day :)

Today's Obsession

Iced coffee: It was over 30 degrees celcius. Anything hot is out of the question. I love summer :)

Rosie Huntington-Whitely: Wow!

Nikon D5000: I'm coveting one but its a bit above my photography skill at the moment.

This is my first post so I feel that it is appropriate to use this as an opportunity to introduce myself to you and let you know a little about myself, afterall that is what one does when meeting for the first time, right? :P

Here are the basic facts:
